The Type 950FX flux storage oven holds up to 600 lb (272 kg) of bulk flux. An adjustable thermostat maintains flux temperature between 100°–450°F (38°–232°C), while the cylindrical shape of the oven promotes consistent heating.

Heating elements rest outside the oven chamber, ensuring they are not in direct contact with the flux. This arrangement prevents local burning of flux and helps maintain a steady flux temperature.

Type 950FX flux ovens also feature a removable lid for easy and fast bulk flux loading. The gate valve at the bottom of the oven is adjustable to control flow for safe unloading and to allow for easy access.
